Letter 2 The Plug (Prod. By Paul Cabbin) - BTMG Reason Music Review
May 8, 2018
The art of storytelling and being able to maintain logic while flowing with the beat is something most artists do not have but not BTMG. Being a new rapper, fresh in the industry with a few songs I could say he has made some really huge strides. His track ‘Letter To The Plug’ is an awesome and emotional tune that will send you straight into meditation mode. “Introduced me to the dope gang slanging cocaine” he continues “told me if I ever get down to mention no names.” I don’t care what you want to call it but these are clearly street rap lyrics careful laced with survival skills.
Lyrics that leave you wondering what the rapper was exactly thinking when penning down this reflective and highly tense song. All those backstabbers, the ups and downs have clearly left BTMG wiser than before when he was entering the game green.
I love the tune because of how the artist has managed to integrate the listener to his side of life and the emotions are also coming in real strong. The way he plays with the lyrics and metaphors might make you realize he can definitely feature a track with Kendrick Lamar. The instrumentals were all laid back but hard enough to vibe to. This is a good job well done by both the producer, Paul Cabbin and the talented rapper BTMG.
