If you could choose to work with some of today’s established artists or producers, to move your game to the top, with whom would you like to collaborate?
"If I could choose to work with any artist to learn from and help perfect my craft it would be Kid Cudi. He is one of the greatest artists and writers to ever live."
What is a typical day like for you?
"A typical day for me is probably like most people until I get home. I go to work and have to run errands etc., but each day I work on my craft in some way. Whether it’s working on music, a podcast (Scrape Talk on iTunes) or helping with the aesthetics for different projects Scraper Gang might be working on."
Which ingredient do you think is most essential in making your sound and style the way it is?
"To me, lyricism has always been the most essential aspect of creating great music. If everything else goes right in the song but the lyrics and content don’t provide a purpose why are they even there? This doesn't mean every verse has to aspire to Jay-Z level lyricism but the lyrics for a specific song should serve a specific purpose. That's what I try to do. I want to find the purpose of the song and provide the context for that purpose. "
Most successful point in your career thus far?
"The most successful point in my career thus far is making the song Lift Me Up. I know you probably wanted something a bit more quantifiable like the number of views or shows I may have done but I think this is a better example. Making "Lift Me Up" proved to myself what I'm capable of doing. I only try to concern myself with being as skillful as possible and let "success" as the society would deem up to the powers that be."
